****************************************************************************** EUREF Electronic Mail 27-Jun-2001 10:38:02 CET Message Number 0946 ****************************************************************************** Author: EPN CB/C. Bruyninx Subject: Important notice for station managers REMINDER TO THE EPN STATION MANAGERS : A. The EPN GPS data distributed to the data centers should be observed with equipment, and on a location, in full agreement with the information in the site log concerning e.g. antenna location, antenna type, radome type, antenna height, ... EPN analysis centers automatically pick up the data available at the EPN data centers. If the rule mentioned above is not respected, the analysis centers will have to do manual editing of the data, which is time-consuming for the ACs which run their processing normally fully automatic. Examples: Data that should NOT show up at the data centers are : - data gathered with a different antenna/receiver than the one in the site log (mostly test set ups) - data gathered at a different location than the marker mentioned in the site log (typically for a short period) B. Referring to the guidelines http://www.epncb.oma.be/g_sta_oc.html Any changes at the site (for whom data are submitted) 1.must be relayed promptly (preferably in advance) to the EPN CB 2.The EUREF site description file (log file) should be updated out and sent to the EPN CB If necessary, site descriptions (photos, maps, etc) should be sent to the Central Bureau. 3.An announcement of the change must be posted through EUREF mail.
