The EPN station coordinates and velocities result from the regular time series analysis and are the most accurate and up-to-date solutions for the EPN sites. They are used for the maintenance of the regional densification of the ITRFyy between successive ITRFyy release and for the maintenance of the ETRS89:

  • EPN station coordinates and velocities in the ETRF2000 (conventional ETRS89 reference frame) (class A and class B)
  • EPN station coordinates and velocities in the latest realization of the ITRS: IGb08 (class A and class B)

The ETRF2000 (all values refer to the EURA plate) horizontal velocity solution derived from the EPN cumulative solution. The EURA plate rotation model is the NUVEL1A-NNR corrected by the Igb08 differential rotation. The velocity scale is placed on the map between Iceland and Ponta Delgada. The 95% confidence ellipses are derived from the CATS_MLE (Maximum Likelihood Estimator) analysis. The red dots on the map indicate the youngest sites (less than one year observation series), which have unrealistic velocities.
